The mineral-match tablet

Built on the same mineral family as your enamel.

Going fluoride-free only works if you still trust the clean. So start with what's in it: nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA) at 5%, gentle polishers, and mint. No fluoride.

1

Mineral: 5% nHA

Nano-hydroxyapatite is calcium hydroxyapatite in nano-sized particles, from the same mineral family that makes up tooth enamel. The brand lists the amount: 5%.

2

Polish: low-abrasion

Baking soda, calcium carbonate and silica do the polishing. The brand lists an abrasivity score (RDA) of 21.38 and calls the formula low-abrasive.

3

Format: tablet, not tube

Per the brand, NOBS was first prototyped as a tube paste, then made as a tablet to cut out unnecessary ingredients and preservatives. One tablet, one measured brush.

Developed by Dr. Ilon Choai, DDS, a Miami dentist and NOBS co-founder, who started mixing his own formula because traditional toothpastes left his tongue irritated (per the brand).

Who this jar is for

For anyone who brushes twice a day and still holds their breath at checkups.

You've used the same tube for years. You've scrolled past a hundred nano-hydroxyapatite videos. You want off fluoride, but not if your mouth ends up feeling less clean.

Switching off fluoride

You don't want it to feel like a downgrade.

The ingredient you're switching to is named, with its amount: 5% nano-hydroxyapatite. The other key ingredients are further down this page, so you can check them before you buy.

Done with hype

You've heard every miracle claim.

You won't get one here. You get what's in the jar, how to use it, and what buyers like and dislike, including the parts that aren't for everyone.

Chasing that clean

You love how your teeth feel after a cleaning.

That's the feeling buyers of these tablets bring up most: teeth that feel like they just left the dentist, and a clean feeling that lasts into the day.

New to tablets?

Dry fingers. Chew. Wet brush. Two minutes.

  1. Take one, close the lid

Grab one tablet with dry fingers and close the jar, so the rest stay dry.

  2. Chew it to a powder

A few bites with your front teeth. It feels powdery, a little chalky, for a few seconds. That's normal.

  3. Brush with a wet brush

Wet your toothbrush under the tap and brush for two minutes, every surface of every tooth. The powder turns into a light foam.

  4. Spit. Morning and night.

Spit out the excess. One tablet each time you brush, twice a day: a 62-tablet jar is about a month, a 186-tablet jar about three.

Give it a few brushesChewing toothpaste is new, and some buyers say it took a little getting used to. If it never clicks, returns are open for 30 days, even on an opened jar.
Lighter foam is normalPer the brand, the cleansing agents are gentler, so the foam is lighter than a tube paste's lather. Brush the full two minutes either way.
Broken tablets still workTablets can crumble in transit. You chew them to powder anyway, so use about one tablet's worth of pieces or powder.

Jar math

How long a jar really lasts.

One tablet per brush, so it's simple division. Set who's brushing and how long you want covered, like the stretch until your next cleaning.

Questions before you buy

What is nano-hydroxyapatite?

Calcium hydroxyapatite in nano-sized particles, from the same mineral family that makes up tooth enamel. NOBS lists it at 5% in these tablets, as the fluoride-free base of the formula.

Is going fluoride-free right for me?

That's a conversation for your dentist, especially if you're prone to cavities, and it's worth telling them you've switched at your next visit. These tablets are sold as a cosmetic toothpaste to clean teeth and freshen breath. They aren't intended to prevent or treat cavities, sensitivity or any other condition.

Is less foam less clean?

Per the brand, no: the foam is lighter because the cleansing agents are gentler, not because the cleaning is weaker. Either way, brush every surface for the full two minutes. Foam is the most divisive thing in reviews. Some buyers love it, some miss the thick lather of a tube paste.

Will it whiten my teeth?

It isn't a whitening product. Baking soda, calcium carbonate and silica help remove everyday surface stains with regular brushing, but it won't bleach or change your natural shade. Most disappointed reviews come from people who expected whiter teeth.

How long does a jar last?

One tablet each time you brush, twice a day: a 62-tablet jar lasts one person 31 days, and a 186-tablet jar lasts 93 days. Brushing for more than one person? Use the jar math above.

Is there SLS in it?

The brand lists these tablets as free from SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate). If you see sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSA) on a label, that's a different ingredient with a similar name.

Can my kids use it?

Retail listings describe these tablets as an adult product. For children, ask your child's dentist what to use, and supervise brushing.

What if my jar arrives cracked or broken?

Email vitalcorecustomers@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo and your order number, and we'll send a free replacement or a full refund under our return policy.

Can I take them on a plane?

Yes. They're solid tablets, so they aren't liquids under the 3.4 oz carry-on rule.

What about pets?

Keep the jar away from them. The brand warns that xylitol can be toxic to pets, and says to contact your veterinarian immediately if a pet eats any.

When will it arrive?

USA standard shipping is FREE and estimated at 5–7 business days. USA expedited shipping is $7 and estimated at 2–5 business days. Outside the USA, standard shipping is $14 with an estimated 5–7-day delivery time; expedited shipping is $24.97. Delivery dates are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates. See our shipping policy.

What if it's not for me?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery under our return policy, even if you've opened it. Contact us first and we'll walk you through it.
