Questions before you buy
How much glutathione is in a serving?
900 mg. The label lists 1,000 mg of ReaLipo® liposomal glutathione complex per 2-capsule serving, and that complex provides 900 mg of glutathione in its reduced form (GSH). Each serving also has 100 mg of alpha lipoic acid.
How many capsules a day, and how long does a bottle last?
Two capsules a day. The bottle holds 60 capsules, which is 30 servings: a 30-day supply, not 60.
What does liposomal mean?
The glutathione is wrapped in a phospholipid shell, a delivery format designed for absorption.* Regular glutathione capsules contain the plain powder. We haven't found published human studies on this specific liposomal ingredient, and the only liposomal research we found is one small pilot of a liquid, so we don't claim more than the brand's own wording.
Why is alpha lipoic acid in it?
Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant that supports the body's natural recycling of glutathione.* The brand pairs the two for that reason. Each serving has 100 mg.
Should I take it with food or on an empty stomach?
With food. The label says to take 2 capsules daily, preferably with a meal, or as directed by a healthcare professional. The brand's tip is to choose a time you can repeat every day.
How long until I notice anything?
We can't give you a timeline, and results vary. Some people never notice a difference. The brand's advice is to take it daily and give it at least a month before judging it. In a 6-month human trial of plain oral glutathione, levels returned to baseline within a month of stopping, which is why the daily habit matters.
Does it taste like sulfur?
You swallow the capsules whole with water, so there's nothing to taste. That's the point of the format: per the brand, capsules skip the taste and measuring that come with liquid and powder glutathione.
Can I take it if I'm pregnant, nursing or on medication?
Check with your doctor first. The brand's own guidance is to check with your doctor before starting if you're pregnant or nursing, have a health condition, or take medication. The same goes for adding it to other supplements you take.
Is it vegetarian, gluten-free and soy-free?
The capsules are vegetarian, made from vegetable cellulose. The label states it's free of gluten, soy and dairy, and the brand says it's non-GMO. Every ingredient is in the Supplement Facts panel above.
I've used a Micro Ingredients glutathione before. Is this the same?
Not necessarily. The brand sells several glutathione products with different doses and capsule counts. This one, listed in July 2026, is 2 capsules for 900 mg of glutathione plus 100 mg alpha lipoic acid. Compare the panel above with your old bottle.
